Sustainable Labels 👀
The two common labels sought by environmentally conscious shoppers in search of sustainable seafood are the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) labels. These certifications serve as indicators that the seafood has been responsibly sourced or farmed, adhering to stringent sustainability standards.
Singapore Standards 📈
But wait there is more! In Singapore, we have our own sustainable certification. GAP (Good Aquaculture Practice) refers to a set of guidelines and standards established by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) to ensure responsible and sustainable aquaculture practices by local farms in Singapore.
